RTA Advertising Campaign

About the Project

The competition gave myself the opportunity to develop a road safety message to motivate and persuade young drivers. The challenge we face as a community is how to persuade young rivers to slow down and think about the safety of themselves and their ‘mates’.

The design is a simple use of language that young people use daily. The use of this language and the simple yet shocking image should make young drives sit up and take notice of their actions on the road.

The design was later developed further with the collaboration of Singleton, Ogilvy & Mather who where asked to develop the advertisement further for use on metrobacks, taxi backs, billboards and print media. They were also asked to develop a call to action line with the collaboration of myself as designer. Undertaking this collaboration gave myself hands on experience within an advertising agency.
